Seriously, ranging from all cloth to fulling disposable… and ones half way in between – with inserts!
Rachael is engaged :)
..and I don’t even have kids! I work with them, so it’s even more nappy changes. But it’s worth learning to do, for future reference, hehe. But even now, after years of practice, I can still feel a little queasy doing certain nappies.
It is worth it when the diaper is on one of your kids or maybe the kid of a family member for friend. But just changing diapers isn’t really a thrill!
bear will be one in december… and i haven’t gotten to this yet. he’s eating real food so his poop is more people like than baby like.
Luckily for me it was just pee. So it wasn’t that traumatic.
I don’t have much experience with kids, or anything domestic. So lately I’ve been pushing myself to learn how to cook. But to me the most important thing I want to learn is how to take care of kids. My fiance’s mom runs a daycare and every now and then I go there to watch the kids. I watched 7 the other day, thank god I had another girl helping me. It’s very hard work.
I have a very nurturing personality but I’m not quite sure how to express it with kids…
Basically, I’m ‘in-practice’ to become a mother.
well, no diaper changing yet. I babysat “little bear” the other day. so, slight, slight progress. lucky for me he didn’t need changing…
ok, this one is easy. I have done this for two children now. Anyone who has done this knows what horrors that can hide inside of …the diaper. This is not a difficult task, so why did Heinlein include it in his “must know how” list? I feel that Heinlein was trying to truly show the range of skills that a human could do, not just “build a wall” but “change a diaper” as well. Changing a diaper takes responsibility, shows nurturing and requires a gentleness that “building a wall” might not. This is but one of the many aspects that go into being a well-rounded human being.
Luckily, I have no images of this task.
