A bunch of the gals I do theatre with started up our own SNB. Very informal and a lot of fun!
How I did it: I found a group of knitters that met in Cambridge at the Spark Craft Studios (which sadly no longer exists). I was instantly part of the group! There are always new knitters coming and going, but there is always a core group that shows up almost every week.
Lessons & tips: Just do it! It's so much fun!
Resources: I googled knitting groups in Cambridge, MA. With a little bit of digging, I found one and I liked the people there.

There’s a list of groups here http://www.stitchnbitch.co.uk/fan.htm
I went to my first SnB group yesterday and it is loads of fun.

Maybe this wasn’t a good idea, knitting groups scare me. I fear everyone will be middle aged and boring. I am in my mid-twenties, I just don’t want to feel out of place. I need to do more research on Stich and Bitch Chicago before I proceed.
