That’s really all it takes! The hard part is finding out where to be and when, but I’ve never worked for any campaign that turned away volunteers, from the small scale local campaigns to the Clinton and Kerry campaigns. The internet has made grass-roots campaigning easier to get involved in than ever. It isn’t always easy, or a lot of fun, it can eat up your free time, and you will meet jerks even within the party, but it is totally worth it.

Signed up for the MassDems’ Victory ‘06 campaign. Hopefully I’ll start getting notices from them soon (I have yet to get any from the regular site).

Signed up on the state party website (http://www.massdems.org/) for volunteer opportunities and regular e-mails. Even if I don’t have a lot of time right now to commit, at least I’ll be informed.
