Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

I have a serious Dr. Pepper addiction! It is so bad that when I had to go with out it for 9 days, I actually began to have withdrawls! I started getting very tired and sometimes cranky. I have began drinking up to about 5 cans a day, and on special occasions, even more!!! I really need to figure out how to stop drinking it! Please Help! 6 years ago

I learned the hard way that diet soda is harmful. I ended up with sever asthma attacks and nausea.

ZenPandaThe switch

I have started switching to a diet soda. yucky. I tried about 5 diets before I decided which I could stomach longer- Diet coke with lime won. I still have my Dr.p about 1 to 2x a day but more diet throughout the day. More baby steps 9 years ago

Hey There…
I was the worst Dr Pepper addict there was. I was drinking on lite days at least 8 32oz DPs a day! At best 4 a day…on top of three pots of coffee!!! I did was hard and the headaches were awful for the first few days…but I realized that I was getting bigger and bigger but I wasn’t eating anything. So I made a decision one day to say OK I am not gonna have one today…And my family could not stand me for about a week…and my coffee consumption went up too, from three pots of caffinated coffee to 5 a day…NOW…I am proud to say I have hit the 3 month mark and I am down to NO DPs a day, 1 pot of coffee a day and one decaf, unless I am close to a Starbucks, which thank God the closet one is 45 miles away..and I lost 25 pounds; and the only thing I did different was no DPs! Good luck with you battle…I know most people look at it as really stupid addiction…but it is just that! An addiction and it is as hard to get over for some as cocaine or herion, well maybe not but you know what I mean. If you need support PLEASE let me know! Lizza 9 years ago
