hippie1427 Is going to be uber productive this year
we’ve had a small point and shoot kodak digital for several years, but we’ve really been wanting something with a better zoom for our trips, so last october, right before our big NZ vacation, we decided to buy a new camera.
While there is a lot of talk about slr, I really don’t want to deal with the lenses &etc. so we settled on a kodak, since we love the colors we get out of the one we have, and with a 10x zoom, we can take better photos from a distance. Plus it has a million settings and even lets me do my own shutter speed & etc if I want to go deeper into it.
And because I know that our last kodak really held up to our brutal treatment, I have faith that this one will last.

This is not too far off for me. I know which one I want. I just need the money! LOL
I think I will use some of my tax money.

not really a new one, but it’s new to me.
We didn’t do many new gifts this year at our house.
Money was tight with me being off work for nearly 4 months this year and all the hospital bills that still haven’t been paid. DH and I both had our pay cut and I may not have a job at all in a few month so even if we did have any extra money, it wouldn’t have been wise to spend it.
So we recycled gifts. I gave my son my iPod and my daughter gave me her camera.
I couldn’t believe she gave up her camera!! ok, she had lost the charger for it, but those don’t cost that much, and she really loved that camera
it will be a couple of weeks before I can order a replacement charger, so I can’t take any pictures yet
but I have a camera :)!

I heard tons of good reviews on this camera, Wide lens was what i was looking for and it’s an advanced point and shoot.

I lost my camera at a movie theater (dumb idea to bring it there). I just wanted to take a picture of me and my friends standing infront of this big giant cardboard puppy that was there. grrr

New camera!
I’ve gone as far as I can go with my fujifilm s9000. There is so much I have learned from it, and we had a good run. :) I’ve got my eye on a Nikon d200, d300, or a Pentax.
Finances are a bastard. Being a grownup is sucky. o_O BUT, I can save up enough bones to do this. It’s not that unrealistic.

I need to get a new camera again. It was accidently dropped when a few friends were messing with it. I want nothing more than a SLR camera but i don’t think i could afford it so i was thinking maybe i should get a more advanced point and shoot. I’m not sure what to do, I know i’d probulary long for a SLR camera if i got anything less…..

Best boyfriend ever couldn’t keep my birthday gift a surpise any longer – he made it two whole days with the camera in the house! ... my birthday is in November :) – I am now the very excited, if not a little clueless, owner of the new Canon Rebel XSi. WOW…. I will love the freedom this one gives me over my last point n shoot. As soon as I get thru the manual and figure out how it all works. :)
