i think this will have been a fairly “active” day
Domestika00 finding 101 things to do that aren't going for a run!
How I did it: Being "active" sounds really easy... And it is! Just not to start.A lot of people think of "active" as working out or exercising, but it's really much more simple than that. It's just a mindset to use your body when you can rather than avoid using it when you find a way to (ie. taking the elevator, finding the closest parking space, letting the dog out in the backyard rather than taking her for a walk). Decide to use the body you were giv… Read how I did it…

so i got me a walking/running buddy now.
she’s a lab/golden retriever mix so she’ll be bound to keep me on my toes. i can’t wait to take her to the nature trails by my house!
rainbow81 is chilling today
I have been doing the Wii fit a lot. I think it may be a gateway into the world of exercise. It was really tough at first but now it seems easy so I might up the pace a bit. And I’ve lost 5lbs in 3 weeks doing it ;)

went to the gym today and worked out pretty hard.
but afterwards in the locker room there was this girl who was about my size, but she was so toned and muscular! you couldn’t see an inch of fat on her (while i am covered with cellulite…)
and while i was getting my stuff, she just strips naked and walks around like it’s an everyday thing for her. even though it was an odd sight, it just made me more determined to stay active. i want to be fit and so comfortable with myself that i could prance around naked and not care if people see (though i wouldn’t do that… often lol)
FAIL! I broke a sweat trying on uniforms for my new job. Thats about all I did for activity.
tanya_srush going through a tough time controlling my own self!!!
with so many ssignments and journal work to do i cant do much except sit n write them but i n=intent to make it a bit more interesting and taking it as a challenge to myself and completing it ahead of time i feel i `m gonna have n ctive weekend unlike the other times wen i detest weekends.crzy i know.i hve strted going by the public transport system so i can walk a bit nd some physical activity might be there.i pln today to finish this stuff actively nd not just passive donkey`s work.
Rhoswen has a lot on her mind
I’ve struggled a bit with this goal. First I named it “Be more active”, because that is what I wanted to achieve. With more active I meant getting out more, getting involved in things, meeting up with friends, simply feeling generally more plugged in and alive.
I then realized that it is a bit difficult to measure the achievements in such a broad goal, and changed it to “Do one new interesting or fun thing each week”. That would put some pressure on me!
Yeah, mmm, a little too much pressure. It’s not meant that I should feel like a slave under my goals. I can’t come up with a new and interesting activity each week! Some weeks are just stressful and it is hard to find time for fun activities. Others are boring and you don’t get the inspiration to invent something new to do.
No, back to the old definition again that allows me a little more freedom. I don’t have to do something fun or interesting each week, I will evaluate this goal now and then and see if I make progress. I feel like I am making progress, but I still have a long way to go. Most important though is that I feel like I am changing my patterns, even if it takes some time.

I’ve found a Scottish Country Dancing group sort of nearby, they meet on Monday evenings so of course I was scheduled to work tonight and next Monday evening even though the last Monday night I worked was the beginning of June!! haha sod’s law… anyway, will be going in two weeks so I hope it goes well :)
I’m an extremely sedentary person. Not overweight, I just don’t do much except sit in front of some sort of screen all day. About a month ago, I got sick of pulling muscles just from doing mundane everyday tasks. I decided to do the Couch to 5K plan, and do some light strength training on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I’ve been doing good so far, and I can definitely notice a difference in my physical appearance as well as my performance in day-to-day activities. Once I can do a good amount of pull-ups, I’ll check this one off :)

Was very active last night at the Ceilidh! Have to look into joining a Scottish Dancing Group, if there is one around here or maybe back in Amsterdam… :)
