I go to art exhibitions quite frequently now. Its a lot of fun and it keeps me in tune with whats happening in the art community.
How I did it: I went more to Sao Paulo, so I could go to every exhibition that was in town, and I look for the days that you don´t have to pay, so even the cost was low

Yesterday I went to see 4 different shows in one gallery and one show at another. I really enjoyed myself!

I went to the Textile Museum and saw “A Terrible Beauty” by Jennifer Angus. Wow.
We also saw the Gehry exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario.
I’m glad we went. It was a great way to spend time with my friend without spending too much money.
I think art exhibitions also make a good first date activity -you get a chance to talk and get to know each other.

but somehow I let it all pass me by. I get loads of invitations and notices about shows in my email. I look at the pictures and I think “That looks interesting, I think I’ll go see it.”
Next thing you know, the exhibition is over and I missed my chance. I know how important it is to support my fellow artists and I feel bad about not being more involved in my local art community.
I’m going to set a goal of going to one show every two weeks.
