Worth doing!
Due to hurricane conditions, the ship went to Mexico and Florida instead of the Bahamas, which was fine with me. So, we had good weather the whole time.
I just love those gentle sea breezes!

Not worth it!
So the Greek islands were cruised :)and the schedule was restrictive and the activities were limited…the cruising life is not for me….
Since I started getting my hopes up about a cruise my financial situation has changed. I wasn’t thinking about the costs of going back to school, which I’m now doing part-time. And of course I’ll have to plan around potential class conflicts now too.
Ultimately I still want to go on a cruise but I’m not sure if it will be happening as quickly as I’d like (Spring 2009).
Not on my plan of things to do soon, but something I have always wanted to do.

I’m in the midst of backpacking through Southeast Asia. Went to cruise Vietnam’s famed Halong Bay. Unlike the popular, commercialized mega cruises, mine was something small, something more personal.
The boat was a restored, beautiful traditional Chinese junk. Even though we didn’t have to pay much, a lot of effort was put into giving us (mostly backpackers) the best experience: from the boat’s interiors to the fine-dining quality meals! (Imagine wearing nothing but flip flops, a shirt and beach shorts, being served several courses of meals beautifully prepared by a chef).
The view of the surrounding islands during the day was spectacular but it’s even better at night. We slept on the boat, anchored in the middle of the sea, surrounded by limestone cliffs. The sky was so clear I could literally see thousands and thousands of stars. It was just the perfect moment. Then this morning, to top it all off, we went kayaking.
I’ll definitely do it again.

Sometimes I wonder why I challenge myself this way – traveling alone. I’m a bit nervous, but I read somewhere that if your goal doesn’t bring about some fear, it isn’t the right goal for you. So, it will be a growth experience as I proceed courageously, with an openness to learning and new experience.

In Hawaii, summer 2006, I went on a cruise. We went on the Pride of America Norwiedgen Cruise Lines. We cruised to about four of the different islands and had about one or two days to go around on each. We had free EVERYTHING except for fountain sodas, and you could buy a card for that. Free ice cream, all types of food, whenever you wanted! I loved pigging out! Plus, everyone was nice except for the occasional group of old, grumpy elders. lol.
The Pride of America ship is a very good choice for a cruise in Hawaii.
But anyways, I still have my ID from there and I will always look back at it.. :)
ummm yeah so we were supposed to go for our anniversary our 5th, but being 28 weeks pregnant with #2, that was a no go.. Maybe next year, hubby is already planning
AmyRMB is on vacation in Oregon
Growing up in Alaska- I saw so many impressive cruise ships every summer and always longed to go on one myself. It sounds like so much fun and very relaxing while seeing multiple places on one vacation.

So much fun and so relaxing. Plus, the food is amazing. Going with family is great, but I really want to go with a group of friends.
