Missing_Germany is chilling
I miss home

I’m hoping to move back home to Germany within the next 10 years. I know that sounds like a long time, but my son is still in school and I want to make sure he can stand on his own two feet before I leave. He’s very supportive and who knows, maybe he’ll come back , too.
I’m very lonely most times. I never found any “true” friends here and just miss the sense of community we had back home in Germany. People here are excited when they hear I’m originally from Germany and ask lots of questions and I like talking about it, but at the end of the day I’m still alone and feel misunderstood. I wish I had some german people to hang out with.
