volunteer at a museum

It’s pretty much official. I led groups on my own yesterday!

I lead my first orientation today!

This goal is ongoing, but I’m marking it as done because I’ve finished the application and training process! woo hoo!

went pretty well! I’ve got the handbook and everything. I’ll be back this Friday to learn some more!

I’ll consider this goal accomplished after I’m done with training and leading the groups on my own!

and I’m meeting with the nice lady on the phone on Monday at 10am for an interview and tour of the museum! =]

I’m proud that I finally made myself actively pursue this goal… it’s exciting!

the stowaway club was great fun. a little crazy because there were so many kids but it was a great time. im really glad i have volunteered. now i get to go EVERY sunday! and maybe tuesdays too! woooooo! im pretty happy with this goal as it means alot to me. hopefully it will help me in deciding what i want to do with my life. YAY!

today is the big day. my first day volunteering at the museum. I AM SOOOOOOO NERVOUS!!!!! i hate being so nervous for nothing. i really shouldn’t be. everything will be fine. i am leaving in an hour. ZZZAP! wish me luck. oh geez. children will be everywhere. they scare me!

tomorrow is the big day. my first day volunteering at the museum! i’m pretty excited but more nervous than anything. i really really hope it goes well. who knows! meg says if i jsut be myself i will do fine. I HOPE SO!!!!! and if it doesn’t go well (which it WILL) i will just go to another one. or try it agtain. who knows. it will go fine though, it has too. THREE CHEERS FOR THE STOWAWAYS CLUB!

so i had another interview today. ithought the first interview was the big one but i was totally unprepared for TODAY being the big interview. i got interviewed by 2 people who asked me all types of different questions. i was pretty nervous but i think i seemed relaxed. anyways, hopefully this interview went ok. i think it was alright. no they just have to check my references. sunday is the big day! my first day at the museum!!!! geez i love the smell of it in there.

last interview tomorrow! they just have to check i am not a pedophile and what not (since i’ll be working with children) then I believe sunday is my first day! woooooooo! i’m super excited!
