Yeah…a year later and I still haven’t made any progress with this. It’s something I do without thinking about it and I’m not sure that it’ll ever change.
How I did it: He doesn't do it anymore! Because he loves me! It used to bother me soo much, but now if he did it I don't think it would as much!!! I am still very appreciative though!

I need to stop cracking my knuckles. ...and my neck, and my back, and my ankles, and my toes…
I never used to, but then in High School I just started and now I can’t stop!
I’m so frustrated! I need to stop cracking my knuckles anyone have ne ideas?? The only thing I’ve heard so far is the rubber band thing which sounds pretty good but I’m thinking that may not even cure me!!
I started cracking my knuckles and it became a habit before two months had passed. I started wearing one rubber band on each hand. Whenever I cracked my knuckles I would snap the rubber band or ask someone else to. Pretty soon you stop cracking. :)

I have been cracking my knuckles for as long as I can remeber. I know its most likely going to end up with me having arthitis. I have noticed that I do it all the time though. Not just under stress allthe time! i need to stop!
ive been cracking my knuckles (mainly fingers)for like 5 years now and i cant stop my finger knuckles are getting huge and i really want to stop but i cant im proply gonna end up with arthritis and i dont want that i probly crack em around 40 times a day or more they hurt if i dont and i really nead to stop
So ever since i was about ten i have popped my knuckles. I started because everyone else in my family did it and i wanted to fit in. Now its become a habit. I cant stop and i want to because its not ladylike and i dont want arthritis when im older.

I really need to stop cracking my knuckles,especially my left hand since that’s my main hand.I’m an artist and I plan to be a tattoo artist/body piercer and the last thing I need is arthritis in my knuckles;plus I’m a violinist and guitarist so I definitely don’t want to develop a problem with being able to flex my fingers quickly…
When I wake up after it’s been raining, my knuckles in my fingers seize up, and they hurt so bad! It’s the worst!
I saw this really old lady trying to get some change from her change purse at my register the other day, and her knuckles were so fat it was alien like! I am so scared that will be me one day.
I’ve been cracking my knuckles (in my hands, wrists, elbows, back & neck) since I was in the third grade. I’m 35 now. I’m going to be in trouble in the future. I’m sure.
A licensed counselor told me that it may be a symptom of trying to do something to keep my attention. I noticed I do it when I’m nervous or when I’m anxious or afraid. Sadly it’s become a harmful coping mechanism.
I think the only way to overcome the habit now is to treat it like an addiction. I have to replace the activity with something else. So I’ve decided that each time I have the desire to crack my knuckles I’m going to sit up straight since my posture is bad as well.
(I bet I crack my knuckles at least 20 times a day)
