I caught a homerun by Mike Sweeney of the KC Royals. Ended up being the deciding run in the game, so the hightlight made ESPN!
It was a truly awesome and surreal feeling like, “did that really just happen?” I was in a group with my family. We were the only ones in the ballpark excited about it, as the home run lost the game for our Indians.
In fact, everybody in the bleachers was yelling “throw it back” in unison. I’ve seen people do that, and I’ve always thought that’s a silly thing to do. To me, after a once in a lifetime experience like that, deliberately thowing the ball away would hurt a lot more than disappointing everybody else! 6 years ago
