Jef MenguinInspirational Speaker in Malaysia?

Malaysia feels a little like home to me. They look more like Filipinos. They speak good English too. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is the 12th City in my list. I went there as an inspirational speaker and I intend to go back there as a touring inspirational speaker.

This time when I write my blog, I will be thinking of the people that I came in contact with in Malaysia. I will also write for them.

Jef MenguinLeadership and Motivational Speaker in Palawan

There are two places that I want to visit as a tourist and as an inspirational speaker this year: Batanes and Palawan. God willing, I will reach each soon. I also hope that leaders of these provinces will invite me to train them for at least a week. I can let go of the payment provided I am given the opportunity to experience the beauty of each.

Introducing Palawan
Palawan is an island province of the Philippines located in the MIMAROPA region or Region 4. Its capital is Puerto Princesa City, and it is the largest province in the country in terms of total area of jurisdiction. The islands of Palawan stretch from Mindoro in the northeast to Borneo in the southwest. It lies between the South China Sea and the Sulu Sea. The province is named after its largest island, Palawan Island.

The two places that I want to visit are Coron Reefs and El Nido.

So if you are from Palawan, or you know how we can connect to the leaders in Palawan, I encourage you to make it known to them my intention to share my leadership seminars with their people. I know that I will have more invitation from that province as I have always been receiving inquiries. I am in no rush. But in God’s time, it will happen.

Jef MenguinLeadership Speaker and Motivational Speaker In Zamboanga City

I have never been to Zamboanga City. There were two inquiries this year. One asked me to send a proposal for a leadership seminar. Another inquired for my rate as an inspirational speaker.

Mindanao is a beautiful place. One seminar attendee from Zamboanga said that I must go there if I were to truly appreciate Mindanao. I think I will be able to do that very soon.

So, no number yet for this city. But I will be inspiring people in Zamboanga. That is the least that I can do. I know they will give me more inspiration.

Maybe this is also a simple call to the Mayor of Zamboanga City. I want you to know that I am interested to visit your city. My programs on transformational leadership may help your city managers. Just send me an invitation and I will go there.

Jef MenguinMotivational Speakers in Mindanao

I have just updated another post – http://jefmenguin.com/?p=5273. I told the reasons why it was necessary for me to train more motivational speakers in Asia. 21 months ago

Jef MenguinLeadership Speaker and Motivational Speaker in Batangas

There was a time that I needed to go to Batangas every week. I was helping my friend Perla Rempe in developing her people at the Farm at San Benito. That was for six months. I told myself that one day I will be able to train every government official in Batangas. Someday, I know that will happen.

I was invited to Lyceum of Batangas twice. I have conducted a leadership workshop for the Supreme Student Coucil. The second time was a stress management workshop for the faculty of nursing. I have also conducted team building session for one NCLEX review center.

I have been to many beaches there too for more than ten team building programs. We even went as far as San Juan Batangas which took me four hours of travel. I was invited to Lago de Oro by the manager to see if the venue was also a good place for team building.

Yes, I have been to cities and municipalities in Batangas and I believe I will have more. Though I have been to other cities in Batangas, I will be including in my 100 Cities in Asia the city of Lipa. Lipa will be city number 11.

Jef MenguinBest motivational speakers in the Philippines I know

are not motivational speakers. They do not even market themselves as such.

I consider Gary Valenciano as a motivational speaker. You see the guy does not only sing. When he talks about his faith, he is so powerful that you will find yourself walking towards the stage to accept Christ as your personal God and savior. Sure, many people are doing that. But his personality, his authentic manner of speaking makes him move people.

I consider Mr Baraceros as a motivational speaker. He was my teacher in college and he motivated me to do my best – always – until I die. There was no motivational speaker in the Philippines who had motivated me more than Mr Baraceros.

I consider my Lolo as a motivational speaker. Though he never experienced speaking before a large group of people which other motivational speakers do today, my Lolo has the ability to make people feel good about themselves and make them look forward to a better day. When I am down, I only remind myself of the lessons that I have learned from my grandfather.

You see everyone can be a motivator. You can find them in the classroom, in churches, in offices, at home. It can be that guy sitting next to you. It can be you.

When you are looking for speakers on leadership and personal development, I suggest that you look for our speakers. If you are in Visayas and Mindanao, contact us so we can refer to you speakers who are based there. I am based in Quezon City. I go to Visayas and Mindanao when invited too. Contact Joy Buena through joy.buena@starfisher.asia so she can help you book your next motivational and leadership speakers.

I challenge you therefore to build yourself as a motivator. You can be a motivational manager, teacher, preacher, etc. If you want to become a motivational speaker, or an inspirational speaker (for that is how I see what I do), then train yourself in speaking too. You can visit a toastmasters club like the TOPS Toastmasters or attend a Dale Carnegie training. If I could be of help to you, you are also free to contact me through my website contact form http://jefmenguin.com/?page_id=228.

Enjoy your day. I hope you will get the desires of your hear.

Jef MenguinLeadership Speaker and Motivational Speaker in the Philippines

“Walking your talk is a great way to motivate yourself. No one likes to live a lie. Be honest with yourself, and you will find the motivation to do what you advise others to do.”- Vince Poscente

No more five pages of resume to introduce the speaker. That is a mild order I gave to my staff. I told them that for the last two leadership talks, the emcee did not bother to create their own introductions of the speaker. They read my resume and bored people to death.

Actually, I felt that they tried to hard to portray me as a very important question. What I know is that famous and really important people do not need long introductions. Long introductions are hard sell.

So, I showed this new introduction to my staff and told them to give this to the next one who will ask me to deliver a talk on leadership.

” Jef Menguin is a leadership and personal development speaker in the Philippines. His talks are lively, entertaining, and full of practical principles. In his talks, he aligns individual and corporate needs to produce positive bottom line business results.

He is the Visionary Leader of Growth Orientors HR Training Consultancy, a people development company that helps high performing organizations build People Excellence culture. A Distinguished Toastmaster, he has been coaching and mentoring people on effective communication and leadership.

After ten years of teaching, in 2004 he decided to pursue his dream of becoming an inspirational and leadership speaker. After seven years and more than a thousand speeches delivered and thousands of people inspired, Jef Menguin continues to educate, engage, and empower people in Asia through his personal leadership and organizational development programs.

His is a story of a humble beginning. Using real life examples and experiences, Jef Menguin shows his audiences that anyone can reinvent his future.”

This introduction was used last week. The emcee explained each sentence to the participants. I thought I should create a new one. I like my staff to give this to the next emcee.

“Jef Menguin helps people.”

Jef MenguinLeadership Speaker and Motivational Speaker in Antipolo City - #10 - Philippines

I spent almost half of my life in Antipolo City. If you were to create a movie of my life, you will find many of the highlights in Antipolo. It was there where I learned how to follow and lead people. It was there where I learned that when I do things differently, I get different results.

I have been invited to speak in other countries. Today, I just thought that although I have conducted leadership workshops and delivered motivational talks in Antipolo City, my alma mater is yet to invite me to train their teachers or even speak in their commencement exercises. I have seen many commencements speakers before and like that I know that I have inspirational stories to tell – stories not from any tale or book, but stories of my life in Antipolo.

One day, I know it will happen. People will invite me as an inspirational speaker in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Singapore, Australia, Taiwan, Brunei, United Kingdom, United States of America, and

Antipolo City. One day.

One simple dream. One day, one of you will make it happen.

Jef MenguinMotivational Speaker and Leadership Speaker in Naga City -

I have been delivering inspirational speeches and leadership talks all around the country, but I have never been to Naga City. I think I will be able to conduct seminars and talks there in a month or two from now.

If you are from Naga and you are looking for an inspirational or leadership speaker, I encourage you to consider visiting my website- http://jefmenguin.com/?page_id=2384 – and find out for yourself if there is anything that I can do to help you and your organization. I customize the training programs to the need of my clients, and I will be happy to do the same for you.

I have always wanted to go to Naga City because I want to see the changes that Robredo’s leadership brought to that City. I want to see first hand how effective governance works.

As of now, I am conceptualizing a Transformational Public Servant program. I will incorporate the philosophy and call of the president for people in government to stop the wang-wang mentality.

You will hear more about Naga City, most especially when I get there soon.

Jef Menguin9. Leadership and Inspirational Speaker in Indonesia

My next trip is to Jakarta, Indonesia. I will conduct a Customer Mindset Training for one multinational company. This will be my first trip to Jakarta and this early I like to manifest my interest to be invited as a leadership and motivational speaker in Indonesia.

I will be in Jakarta on the 25th of July 2011 and I will be staying at Le Méridien Jakarta until the 27th.

I searched for motivational speakers in Indonesia through the internet. I found the names Paul Davis and Patar Simatupang. I realized that these guys are great speakers, and I see that big opportunity to contribute as my message are very much different to theirs but may be equally powerful to motivate people and inspire people to reach their potentials.

A Short Info About Jakarta

Jakarta is the capital and largest city of Indonesia. Jakarta is the country’s economic, cultural and political centre.

It is the most populous city in Indonesia and in Southeast Asia, and is the tenth-largest city in the world. The urban area, Jabodetabek, is the second largest in the world. Jakarta is listed as a global city in the 2008 Globalization and World Cities Study Group and Network (GaWC) research.

Established in the fourth century, the city became an important trading port for the Kingdom of Sunda. It was the de facto capital of the Dutch East Indies and continued being the capital city of Indonesia, after its independence in 1945.

The city is the seat of the ASEAN Secretariat. Jakarta is served by the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport, and Tanjung Priok Harbour; it is connected by several intercity and commuter railways, and served by several bus lines running on reserved busways.

My trip is through Soekarno Hatta Airport.

Jef Menguin8. Leadership and Motivational Speaker in Bacolod City Philippines

The Last time that I was in Bacolod was first quarter of 2011 to conduct a leadership workshop for the top management of the Local Government of Sagay City. The good mayor and the heads of the various departments were the participants. It was truly a wonderful experience for me because I have learned much from the experiences of the participants.

That was also my second time in Negros. The first time was when I conducted a three-day transformational leadership for all the public school principals of Sagay City.

The City of Bacolod is a highly urbanized midsize Philippine city. It is the capital of the province of Negros Occidental. It is the most populous city in the Western Visayas Region. It is part of a metropolitan area called Metro Bacolod, which includes the cities of Silay and Talisay. It is notable for its world famous MassKara Festival held during the 3rd week of October. Known for being a relatively friendly city, it bears the nicknames “City of Smiles” and “Football City of the Philippines”.

When I go back to Bacolod, I hope to be given the chance to conduct leadership seminars for all its 61 barangays and the local government. This is my way of making a difference in the Philippines. I know that there are many honest men and women in the government. I trust that our leaders are striving hard to grow themselves into becoming great leaders. I want to be of service.

When you are looking for a motivational speaker or leadership speaker for your next event in Bacolod, feel free to contact us. Email Ms Joy Buena (joy.buena@starfisher.org) or contact me through my website (http://jefmenguin.com) 22 months ago

Jef Menguin6. Quezon City - Inspirational Speaker, Leadership Speaker, Corporate Trainer

Quezon City is the former capital (1948–1976) and the most populous city in the Philippines. Located on the island of Luzon, Quezon City (popularly known to Filipinos as QC) is one of the cities and municipalities that make up Metro Manila, the National Capital Region. The city was named after Manuel L. Quezon, the former president of the Commonwealth of the Philippines who founded the city and developed it to replace Manila as the country’s capital. Quezon City is not located in and should not be confused with Quezon province, which was also named after the president.

I have been in Quezon City for more than 20 years and in this city you can see the best and the worst places in Metro Manila.

Schools usually invite me as an inspirational speaker. Two of them are the University of the Philippines and Miriam College.

I was also invited by government agencies. Being a former capital of the Philippines, many main government offices are located in Quezon City. For the last five years, I believe I have already delivered more than 200 inspirational speeches in just this city alone.

I did my first public seminar, Speak with Confidence, in Quezon City. It was not a success. Among the 20 persons who signified their interest to attend, only two showed up. They were friends who were non-paying attendees. And because I am Jef Menguin, we continued the public seminar even though there were only two participants – the area and the division governor of Toastmasters International. It was wonderful.

Recently, I was invited by a bus company to submit a proposal for customer service. I created tools to help them deliver world class service. But they were not willing to invest in people. I did not pursue them but I was thankful because I was able to create a tool which will be useful for anyone who is in the service industry.

I will continue to deliver inspirational speeches in Quezon City. But let it be known that my eyes are also set on the following cities:

Seoul
Tokyo
Singapore
Kuwait
Kualu Lumpur
Jakarta
Doha
Beijing
Bangkok
Taipei
New Delhi

and many more cities in Asia. See you there soon.

Jef MenguinLeadership Workshop in Boracay

Yes, Boracay is not a city. So I did not place a number. But it is an important place. I thought I should go to Boracay before the end of this year. The other day I have learned that I will be going there tomorrow to conduct a leadership workshop. I believe that Palawan and Batanes will come soon too.

Where is Boracay?

Boracay is an island of the Philippines located approximately 315 km (200 miles) south of Manila and 2 km off the northwest tip of Panay Island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. The Boracay Island and its beaches were multi-awarded. Boracay was awarded in the “Travelers’ Choice 2011” by TripAdvisor as the second best beach (out of 25) in the world.

The island comprises the barangays of Manoc-Manoc, Balabag, and Yapak (3 of the 17 barangays which make up the municipality of Malay), and is under the administrative control of the Philippine Tourism Authority in coordination with the Provincial Government of Aklan.

My Almost-Boracay Story

For the last three years, companies have been inviting me to Boracay. I remember that the chief of Shangrila de Boracay invited me also to conduct a team building program for them. That did not materialize for whatever reason I did not ask. Given the many leadership seminars I have to conduct elsewhere, I did not think of Boracay anymore. But I always knew that I would go there again and again and again. Why? Because that is where my clients want to go.

So the next time you ask me where can conduct our team building or leadership seminar, you bet that I will consider Boracay. Or Coron, Palawan. Or Batanes.

For your next leadership workshop, contact us.

Jef Menguin5. Davao City - Inspirational Speaker, Trainer, Coach

The City of Davao is the largest city on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. Its international airport and seaports are among the busiest cargo hubs in the Philippines.

Davao City is also one of several cities in the Philippines that are independent of any province. The city serves as the regional center for Davao Region (Region XI). It has a population of 1,464,301 (2010 census), making it the country’s largest city outside Metro Manila and the second overall with the cities of Metro Manila combined, and is named by the Foreign Direct Investment Magazine as the 10th “Asian City of the Future”.

The first opportunity of going to Davao City was when I was invited to be a coach for a train the trainer program sponsored by a facility of AustAid for one local government unit. It was a two-month program and I fell in love with Davao.

The second opportunity was when I was invited as a plenary speaker for HR Philippines. The other speakers were well known consultants who have been in the business for the last thirty years. So, yes, I was the youngest then. And I was able to show them the future of inspirational speaking in the Philippines.

And there were more other opportunities. One was when I was invited to conduct seminar for the regional directors and district superintendents of the Department of Education.

The highlight, I believe, was when I went to Davao for the single purpose of training trainers. There were 11 of them who attended the two-day program. What was so great about these trainers was that they were all passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.

My trainers in Mindanao are not only competent and confident, they truly care.

My challenge is for you to try them.

Jef Menguin4. Singapore - Train the Trainer and Motivational Speaking

Singapore, officially the Republic of Singapore, is a Southeast Asian city-state off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, 137 kilometres (85 mi) north of the equator. An island country made up of 63 islands, it is separated from Malaysia by the Straits of Johor to its north and from Indonesia’s Riau Islands by the Singapore Strait to its south. The country is like an enlarged and multiplied Makati City.

When I went to Singapore, I met some of the best training facilitators in Asia and I realized that I too have many things to offer. I met Ken who is one of the owners of the biggest training company in Asia. He is based in Malaysia. I also met speakers from Taiwan, Hongkong, China, Singapore, and Malaysia.

I also got a standing invitation from a group of Filipinos who now live in Singapore to give them an inspirational talk during my next visit.

I can see that in the coming months, I will be going to Singapore more often. There are events company that now invited me as their motivational speaker to their conventions and conferences. God willing, all of these will happen very soon.

When you are looking for a motivational speaker to speak in Singapore, consider calling me and my team here in the Philippines. You can contact my Business Innovation Director, Ms Joy Buena through joy.buena@starfisher.asia.

Jef Menguin3. iloilo city - Leadership and Inspirational Speaker

The City of Iloilo is a highly urbanized city in the Philippines and the capital city of Iloilo province. It is the regional center of the Western Visayas, as well as the center of the Iloilo-Guimaras Metropolitan Area.

The first time I was invited there, I delivered a two-hour inspirational talk for 123 doctors. During that visit, the doctors toured to various towns in Iloilo. It was the first time I heard of Tatoys and enjoyed the food there.

The second time was when was invited to conduct speak with confidence and leadership seminar in behalf of a multi-national company. It was another experience because I saw that the city have changed much. There are more activities at night.

In three weeks, I will visit the place once again to deliver a leadership workshop for the management of Bureau of Internal Revenue. I will come back and share with you my experience. So, the counting is on for 100 cities in Asia in one year.

I am still choosing which one to write next: Davao or Singapore?

Again, when you are looking for inspirational and motivational speakers in Asia, consider me and my team to help you. Please visit my website at http://jefmenguin.com to learn more about me.

May God bless you. 22 months ago

Jef Menguin2. Tagaytay City - Team Dynamics

Among the many cities in the Philippines, Tagaytay is the most favorite place to hold seminars and workshops. Baguio is a nice place too, but Tagaytay is just about two to three hours from Manila.

The last time I was there was on Saturday (July 9,2011) to conduct a team building workshop for ACS. For the last two months, I have conducted leadership workshops, time management workshops, team building workshops, and customer service workshops in this place.

It is very likely that in the coming weeks, I will be back to Tagaytay.

Tagaytay is best for those who want to enjoy the environment while conducting strategic planning, team building, and leadership seminars. So, yes I will recommend Tagaytay. My team, Starfisher Asia, will soon create a list of our most recommended place to stay in Tagaytay.

Jef Menguin1. Binan City in Laguna : Customer Service Delight

I like to enter Binan City as the first although I have conducted already many more training programs around the country (Philippines) for the first six months of 2011. I conducted the workshop for Brent International School on Sunday (July 10) and it was a blast. I have conducted workshops in Binan twice (the other one is a team building for a retail company) and both were positively memorable.

I look forward to more training for the employees of Brent International School.
