Was in Hyde Park last summer just before the Notting Hill Carnival – there were several steel drum bands playing. Everyone looked so happy and there was a great crowd atmosphere – made me want to be part of it. 5 years ago
GAinCAI am doing this
We have a steel drum orchestra at school, and I finally signed up for it. However, I have to audition since I’m not a percussion major. I have a little experience—I played percussion for two years in junior high—but none with the pan. I am taking a class this summer to get a little pre-steel drum orchestra practice, and it’s very fun. This was our fourth week and things are going well. I am crossing my fingers that everything will work out when school starts. Wish me luck! 5 years ago
