go on holiday

I went away with my sister, camping in Weymouth for 1 week. It was my first holiday since 2004. We had a great time, and I can’t beleive it took us so long to do it – only set us back about £300-400 between us.

If it’s financial reasons why you have this as a goal (I guess the rest of you are trying to find the time to??) then my tips for you would be:

—Determine your budget and find something that fits. Camping in your own (albeit potentially tiny and not that comfortable..) tent on a small site can cost as little as £5 per night. There’s no point dreaming of an expensive 5* holiday if there’s no hope of affording it.

—Choose your holiday-partners carefully!! The main reason why I haven’t been on a holiday in a very long time is that my boyfriend has been on-off unemployed for about 3 years. By going away with my sister I only had to pay half, thus saving 50% on my holiday!!

—Bear in mind why you want a holiday and open your mind and soul to the cheaper opportunities out their

Vouchers came really quickly… managed to use the phone and rang up Butlins! Couldn’t use internet prices boo but still got 3 night break around B’s birthday for us 4 and a friend for B and only had to pay extra £95 – also paid for a Skyline pack for K so she has special treat too (B taking friend)

Have finally remembered to order the vouchers from Tesco clubcard
This gives us over £300 so should be able to book weekend for nothing whoop!

I still have heaps to do – mainly cleaning. I have to do a lot of running around to keep Johns guitars safe while we are away. But not long now :0 I can’t wait!!

but i have transferred $1300 to my bank for our holiday :)

While we are away. I need to clean the house and the car before the 23rd

and we have booked it! all I need to do now is sit back and wait for my holiday to come round!!!

to put a deposit on the apartment only to be told the owners have decided to live there over that period of time. I have found a new place – still good. and tomorrow I will fax our application for the place for our holiday.

so I can pay the deposit for the apartment :) Then all I have to do is wait for the 23 Feb to roll around – I will pay today
