But I did do a couple of nature doodles.
Oddly enough they’re both frogs.
I like mustache frog the best! 13 months ago
Tomorrow Mom, Megan & I are taking another art in nature class which should be fun as a “cheer me up”. The medium is water color this month which I haven’t played with since grade school but I’m game! Artistic renderings TBD.
Update: Winter trees by Traci, Mary & Megan 15 months ago
I just registered my Mom, sister & myself for the “Create Art in Nature” program on Sat, Jan 21 from 1-3pm at the Look About Lodge in South Chagrin Reservation.
Description:
With nature as our inspiration we will create works of art based on the sights of the season. No artistic experience necessary for this free program and supplies are provided. Dress for the weather as we’ll be both indoors and outdoors. 16 months ago

I still need to trim back 2 roses at the back of the house, clean up the front corner and D needs to cut a few low hanging tree branches with his Dad. I’m pretty pleased with our progress… 18 months ago
I hate this part! I have to prune the roses to a uniform height, between 12 and 24 inches; remove suckers, etc… The deer have been eating them which is a sure sign they need to get gone for the year. The days are getting colder and I fear a frost will take them out. Seems supremely unfair that I’m already thinking about the cold. Boo! 19 months ago
Here’s the thing. There’s a small lake across the street from my place of employment.
On the above mentioned day it had rained and hard from 2:00 AM until about 5:00 AM. The roads weren’t too bad but the news that morning had reported a few highway underpasses that were flooded. I was getting ready to turn onto our street only to see a road closed sign. WTH? I pulled a U turn and snuck over via the parking lot for House of La Rose (a local Budweiser distribution company) only to see the exit I hoped to use under water along with the parking lot. To add to the fun roughly 10 truck drivers were milling around so I rolled my window down to ask what had happened ~ the lake took on too much water too quickly and let loose. They laughed & pointed to their friend who “thought” he could get past ~ trapped in a flooded out car & stuck on heaven knows what debris in the road. Plus, there was a sad employee from my company who’s car was parked there overnight. The front wheel was half covered. I snuck through their parking lot to get to the back drive. Parked on high ground, called the big boss lady to tell the bad news and made numerous calls after that to warn everyone. It was an interesting nature day!
Ohh and I almost forgot, our maintenance team found a fish flopping in the road (after the water began to recede) & got it back into the lake which was very cool! 22 months ago
I needed a place to put nature related stuff and I wanted to share a video. Well fate heard me and I saw 43 Things Channel on YouTube!
