The main problem with this goal is this: once you have actually achieved it, you have to start all over again two days later. It’s a never-ending cycle. And in the long run, it’s sort of discouraging to ALWAYS be doing laundry in an attempt to catch up. I have come to the conclusion that it’s simply easier to have some dirty piles/hampers that I can put in when I really need something in them. In the course of two hours, I can have any given item clean and ready to wear. So I am officially going to not be bothered by the fact that sometimes, not everything I own is available to me.

I’m going to accomplish this goal today if it is the last thing I do!!!! Currently I have a load in the washer, a load in the dryer and only 1 load sitting on the basement floor waiting to be washed. I also have a MASSIVE mountain of laundry to fold and put away- which I am about to do. Once I get caught up- I have a plan in place for remaining caught up.
I included laundry into my schedule for housework. Right now laundry days are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. I’m hoping that this will keep the mountain from getting too large.
I got all the laundry done once and I ran out of hangers and had to figure out what to do with them. And when I went to bed that night, the dirty laundry basket was already 1/2 full again with our clothes from that day… The satisfaction of getting it all done is too short-lived to warrant the effort of trying to really get caught up!
This is a never-ending task, it seems, because no matter how close you are to finally being caught up, you are always wearing something. It’s a major pain in the ass.
