was one of the few shows to engage me and challenge me at the same time. Killer prime time entertainment. The only problem is that I haven’t seen the first season, and I’m dyin to. If anyone can point me in that direction, you would be my hero.

it’s not like any tv sitcom, it’s like transplanting the nervy woody allen in alaska and humanizing him. for those who don’t remember, northern exposure was a sitcom back in the 80s. it was philosophical, enlightening and funny. it is for people who find any type of people genuinely interesting. i remember feeling peaceful whenever i watched it. for just one hour, it provided one clean, healthy break from city living.
