since it’s summertime.
i’ll have more money from working more, and also more time to paint.
How I did it: I went to Michael's and spent a lot of money up front on canvases and oils. I make it a point now to paint atleast once a week if not more. It is an amazing feeling to turn off the tv, cellphone, and world. I create a playlist on my ipod and crank it up. I paint based on what I feel from the music. I have a lot of really quite good paintings come from this. :) Have fun with it.
Lessons & tips: Dont buy oils in sets, buy them individually, it ends up being cheaper and lasting longer. LOTS LOTS LOTS of different brushes. Eventually, Ill stretch my own canvas, but right now Im too busy :)

I took art in high school till my final examination year and it was awesome. Doing the things you love or offer you release in this crazy planet is the best therapy that maintains one’s sanity.
When I joined IB though it all stopped, I gave away my ppaints and really good brushes…or rather lent them out and they didn’t come back! I’ve learnt that we should’nt give away our tools but instead use them as a medium to express ourselves to others. So I’ll have to save up and get me new tools, paints and whatever else I need to continue my dream of the masterpiece!!!
The plein aire landscape painting classes have begun so I am painting more now. My “studio” is also my garage/boat storage for the time being so it’s kind of a pain to move the boat and set everything up. Quality problem!
I had a little break from the effects of this cold/virus that I’ve had for almost a week so I actually got out in the studio and did a big red splatter filled abstract, the colors I used represented aspects of my self Red: Passionate & Romantic, Yellow: Playful, Healer, Black: Anger Shame and Blame, White: Spiritual and then there was this poopy brown color. I don’t know what that was for????
Pretty straight forward. I do not spend enough time painting. I could easily work at it …. & start making money with it …. but I have not even developed my own style yet. 20 years of painting off & on …. by the time I hit 30 years …. I want to be prolific enough to sell my pieces ata steady rate.
All comes back to discipline.

My Art Room is upside down! I haven’t ever really organized it or out it together since I moved back here almost a year ago! I need cabinets and drawers! Today I will start cleaning it up…bringing in some old cabinets that have just been sitting on the side of the house…fixing them up…and making the place organized, cute, artsy, and inspirational!

Actually started last night after many months of being stagnant. I feel so alive! What an amazing feeling when you long to do something…then you actually do it…and the feeling you have during the process…like you were created to do this…brings me so close to the Creator of the Universes!
shockwav feeling better than ever
Don’t know how much or how many, but I’m ruining blank canvas again. :D
