    So I’m on this no-fried food thing and then we went out to get Bento boxes for lunch, so of course it had tempuro veggies and I was SO tempted to eat them….and I ate 2. Blech. I screwed up and have to restart.

    Fried foods simply don’t appeal to me anymore. I feel better when i dont eat them. =)

    Not worth it!

    I’ve changed my focus away from “don’t eat _ or __” to something more like “eat what makes my body happy, and me not feel sick at the end of the day.” Sometimes my body wants fries, and so I eat a few. A few, not a giant plateful!

    I think cutting out most of the fried crap from my diet is a good idea, and I’ve done that from time to time, but I like to leave options open. My next food goal is to cut meat out, first just as a reduction in the amount I eat, then altogether but just for a month…then maybe more? You’re welcome to join me!

    I’m going to call this done. Summer is here, I’m eating less and making sure a lot of it is really fresh. Fried is out (for Now)...

    My weeks of no fried foods went pretty well. I think I can gradually shift to eating less rich foods if I really make an effort to plan out alternatives.

    This is a longer term goal but I think planning out a week of eating and exploring the alternatives is a good project. I just have a lot of habits that I need to re-examine.

    So this is it! The week of no fried food! No nasi goreng, yaki soba, stir fries, green onion pancakes, no fried eggs, no fried zuchini blossoms stuffed with feta, no heavy curies.

    Ahhhh, how am I ever going to cope! Only one week, only one week…..!

    the occasional piece of fried food won’t kill me. it will, however, nip the cravings that i have. i can’t feel like i am denying myself. i just have to moderate my eating.
