Take some amazing photos

Although I didn’t do much to make this shot amazing, I’m still pretty proud of it. The lens I used did all the work – a 50mm f/2.0, I believe. It produces some of the most painterly, beautiful bokeh that I’ve seen. Especially in this shot. I was terribly excited about it.

This shot was taken of a homeless man in downtown Denver. I was out shooting with my boyfriend and two friends of ours when we were approached by this man. He needed only $7 more to have enough money to pay for a week’s stay at a shelter where he would be provided with a bed, a bathroom, storage, and food. The shelter he was currently in kicked him out with all of his stuff every morning, and this made it difficult for him to find a job. He was hoping that by staying somewhere a little more permanently, he might be able to find work.

I didn’t have any money on me, but everyone else gave him some cash, and he walked away with $10 after letting us take his photo.

I’m really, really happy with how well this shot turned out.

Look at in big! Its part of a war memorial, this is one of the soldiers, the rain made it look like he was crying. I am proud of this photo.
