do something artistic everyday

This past weekend I went to NYC Podcamp! It was so fun, albeit a bit geeky! Good thing I married a geek and have several geek brothers and felt right at home. The best part was when hubby and I went to Cinematic Elements with David Tamés and John Herman. It was cool because they went over some basic storytelling info that made me feel like vlogging, drawing, and even putting together my wedding album!

No worries, folks. I will take a self portrait today and post it to flickr. But in other news, I started a new blanket for E’s baby, who’s to arrive in April. I love my new yarn, and I’m knitting it on round needles which is making for a much more comfortable ride. Plus I purchased (from Rosie’s Yarn Celler, no less) some ga-gorgious cotton the color of sunset for the project. Oh happy artistic day! I made beaucoup progress while Hubby Benji and I studied for the GRE.

I’m trying a new thing… a self portrait every day. I took it this morning in my cube and its always surprising to see what exactly you look like. Especially me… my mind’s eye really distorts (sometimes for the good, sometimes not) things.
