How I did it: This goal took me longer than it should have done. When I took my orange belt in late October, my instructor said that I was already at green belt standard. However, I travel a lot for work and did not keep my eye on the goal.
After a couple of struggling training sessions which almost made me give up on kickboxing, I finally had a good one yesterday. I really have been struggling with defending myself, but yesterday I was able to do it, not all the time but definetely more, and I felt more confident. I also got good feedback how to improve my boxing techniques. After the session I felt so energized and happy. This is how it’s suppose to feel! Really good day! 20 months ago
When I practiced kickboxing yesterday it was so hard. I almost fainted twice. My condition was really bad and I was weak in my upper body. I know that the training are supposed to build up better condition and strenght, but yesterday I just felt like I had gone backwards.
I’m still scared when we are sparring, but during one of those sessions yesterday I felt like I had control and I wasn’t scared. So I’m improving in that area at least!
Now I got 4 days to rest my sour body until my next session. 20 months ago
I had my first kickboxing session yesterday. I havn’t been training kickboxing for over a year (exactly 14 months!). It was really hard, but the coach thought it was possible to take the test for green belt before Christmas. I had planned to take the test in May, but if I’m ready I will do it in December! 21 months ago
