it takes at least 6 10-inch ponytails to make a wig. i donated one ponytail which was 13 inches this past summer and i have to say, it was one of the most amazing experiences for me. i have always wanted to donate hair but i hate having really long hair and really short hair. but i was never ballsy enough. i always thought: how would i be able to adjust to that within one day? one day, i have my hair the longest it has ever been adn the next, it’s the shortest it has ever been. but i finally went through with it. after not cutting my hair for a year except for minor trims, i did it. i hated my short hair after for 3 months (not even kidding – im finally like my hair length again), but i was really happy. when i felt the hairdresser chop off my ponytail, i was like OHMG I CANT BELIEVE I DID IT. so many people out there are going through cancer, diseases, and other difficult medical conditions that cause them to lose their hair :(. i know it’s not significant, but i think hair does make people feel better. like, dont you feel better when you have a beautiful hair day? or when you get a nice hair cut or highlights?
these people are beautiful people going through difficult times and i want to show my support for them by contributing my hair to PANTENE PRO-V BEAUTIFUL LENGTHS. this organization makes FREE wigs for women who have cancer.
i want to donate enough for one wig. even though ONE person benefits from it, helping even one person is a big difference. i donated one tail, 5 to go.
