go back to spain

I have been there once with my school as a special trip to Europe and we traveled thoughout Spain form: Barcelona, Marid, Sevilla,Toledo, Granada,Costa del sol and I loved every minute of it, plus the shopping in everywhere we stopped was in was amazing experience, I was in Spain for 14 days and 13 nights, I wish I could have stayed for a bit longer. I made a penpal who was actullay was our bus driver, he was really kind and helpful.If we ran into a problem he would help sort out the problem. he got us into musiums, he was like a translater but he couldn’t speank english vey well, but he understood us. when it was time to leave Spain spending my final night in Madrid, sadly departing from our host/bus driver was very sad for me :(. I have learnt so much about the history and culture of Spain, which was biggest intrest with my background being spanish. I was able to talk in spanish with the people and would know what i’m saying. the whole experience was something I am very honured to say I have been there. VIVA ESPANA!

I lived in Spain for a year while studying in Madrid.. I’m back in California now, but can’t wait to go back to my sweet Spain.

I spent my best 14 consecutive days of my life, visiting Barcelona, Bilbao, Donosti, Gijón, Oviedo… And I’ll go back for more!

But for now I am making room for new things

I was in Spain for 5 weeks in the summer of 1990. I was a summer exchangee with Rotary International. I stayed with two host families. I stayed in Oviedo and Gijon, and nothing would be better than to go back and visit Spain again and see some old friends. :)

I spent a month in Granada with a host family and a bunch of other girls my age from my school, and I really want to go back again and do all the things that you don’t get to do on family vacations, like partying at El Camborio, hanging out at our favorite little bar just past the statue of Cristopher Colon, and eating gelato from Los Italianos every day.

i’m from Barcelona, i miss my family and my people, i want to go back next summer and visit them for a month!

today i had another brainwave. since i have just suddenly quit my job, i am not sure i am making much sense in airing this idea, but anyway, just so i don’t forget.

England, next euro summer work in hotels, right of abode, work, see london, finish off trip with a cycling trip in spain doing the famous pilgrims walk perhaps (on my bike). my sister can mind my cat while away as i think she will be here. i could housesit in london perhaps to avoid renting.

last night a friend cooked paella for us. i made a roast vegetable salad. and when i came up with this recipe, i realised i had been in one of the richest gastronomic parts of spain and didn’t know it. its just that the recipe book told me this. anyway, i can vouch that the food was pretty fantabulous even in a little village. its galicia by the way.

i also want to go to madrid to see the prado and to the south to see the allambra.

.. after working all this summer to an inpdap project.. I am so tired… would like to have an holiday in spain..
