I usually go every year, but only to the concert & I’ve been to the BBQ cook-off & carnival a couple times.. I’ve never really checked out all the rodeo stuff. Until today.
It was fun. I had to meet someone there regarding this job I’m interested in. It was kind of like a quasi-second interview. The next step is going to Denver for the final interview.
The quasi-second interview was lovely. and I had a chance to check out all the animals, eat fattening rodeo food (sausage on a stick & funnel cake), see some real cowboys, check out the art & shop a little bit. It all seemed very “Texas”.
The best part: seeing the animals. I got to pet some cows (they’re cute!), a pig & a baby sheep. I saw lots of cows, pigs, baby piglets (just born last night), sheep, baby sheep, goats, chickens, baby chicks coming out of eggs and an unbelievably HUGE longhorn.. his hind quarters had to be at least 6’4”.
