Stormygirl getting stuff done!

something small I can do to that will bring joy into my life 2 months ago

This goal seems so trivial compared to my others (like get out of $44K of debt…) however I know it would make a pretty significant different to my mornings and evenings. Turning and taking that one last look at my room before I leave each day would feel so much better if my bed was made – and it’s such a beautiful bed when it’s made. And to come home to a made bed is really nice too.

I think my husband likes this.... 4 months ago

This week, upon getting up for the day, I make the bed. I haven’t done this in years and yet it is so simple. My husband’s work schedule has temporarily switched from days to nights, so I think the “bed making” has been a treat for him.

I live in a small, loft-style apartment and just making the bed everyday would make my apartment look so much neater. I have been doing this for about two weeks and hope to continue to do this every morning before I go to work. I have not done it every day, but most of the week.

Making My Bed 5 months ago

I really need to start doing this. I’m happier and at peace when my surroundings aren’t cluttered and messy (it doesn’t have to be perfect by any means… but there is a certain level at which I think it needs to be maintained). I also don’t want to be embarrassed when company shows up unannounced… so I’m just going to start doing it!

I’m going to focus on this goal this week. I had a friend unexpectedly come by, and my apartment was messy and my bed wasn’t made (which is quite visible in a Bachelor apt.)

Even if I do it just before I go to bed at night, I always make my bed!! 11 months ago

This is a newer one for me, I would say I started this about a year ago but I have been making my bed every day since!! I usually make it right away after I wake up but sometimes I have to go potty so bad that I put it off but I NEED to have it made before I got to bed at night so sometimes I do it at 10’o clock at night!! It is worth it!!

I was doing so good, 12 months ago

and then I started my summer classes and was just not inspired in the morning to make my bed.

Oh, how nice it would be to always have my room put together. My problem is that if I don’t make a solid schedule and schedule something like this in, I won’t consider it important enough to do.

new goal 12 months ago

I did have “make my bedroom a sanctuary of peace” as a goal on here, but found it too big for me to tackle. So I’m going to use baby steps to get there. Start with making my bed. Once I do that, then it’s logical I’ll want to hang up my clothes instead of throwing them on the ground, yes? And then it’s on to putting my jewellery away in the proper spots, rather than heaping it all in a jumbled mess on the dresser…..and so on and so forth.
