9/1 after electricity returned us to the living
9/17 family cleaning day – very productive.
9/24 using music. It really does improve my mood. I also changed the vacuum bag and filter.
Lost track, I’m sure I might have vacuumed in October, although I’m not positive… it’s been a dirty fall.
11/12 Kids with grandparents, vacuumed up all the shredded stuff and leaves etc etc. Felt great, like I’d cleaned. Music was very helpful.
12/3 Vacuumed and mopped in the typical lick and promise fashion. Dog is shedding and the carpet 2 days later has a faint blurriness to it.
12/16 Discovered the vacuum bag was not on securely. Vacuumed the inside of the vacuum.
12/28 Downstairs, after half an hour of picking up shredded cardboard. Thanks Sebby!
12/29 my bedroom. A true feat.
I hope I missed one, but can’t recall.

2/11, Discovered that I should have been cleaning out part of the vacuum spinning head thing. Eight years of accumulated lint, fur, hair. Not pretty. Afterward it still didn’t seem quite right. I used the vacuum that’s hanging out in the workshop covered in sawdust. It worked fine. I wonder where it came from.
2/17 Found the last clog that was preventing my Miele vacuum from working. Also figured out why it was clogging so much so suddenly. Dog is shredding stuff like crazy and often pulling the stuffing out her toys/pillow. I think the stuffing and/or other shredded items has caused the problem.
Darn, I think I missed a date.
3/4 Vacuumed. Later ran a fever. Vacuuming is very unhealthy.
3/11 Vacuumed. Forgot music, but managed to not lose temper.
3/21 Vacuumed, used music. I think I vacuumed between these last two but don’t recall the date. (16)
4/20 Vacuumed with music. I wanted to vacuum before our trip, but ran out of time. Then was so overwhelmed on returning that the 20th was the first time I managed it. Seeing that it had been a month makes sense because it was HORRIBLE. (sigh) 17
4/29 SKT called to say she was dropping by with a friend, which spurred on my vague desire to vacuum. I do love how much better I feel when I don’t see so much debris on the floor.
5/10 Long overdue. Music really makes me not hate vacuuming.(19)

5/22 I must have wanted a doozy to finish off this goal. The floor was truly stressfully disgusting. The dog had chewed a block of wood into many splinters and large chunks, and several plastic bottles had been ripped apart. I used the wet dry vac before running the regular vacuum. And done with another goal. This goal, more than any other, facilitated the understanding that listening to music takes the bitter out of cleaning for me. 20 months ago
