How to Boardslide
Try a box first, they are easiest. Hop on 50-50 and then quickly turn your board 90 degrees. It is a very sharp and quick movement. You must commit! Then ride down to the end of the object, and hop off. A couple hints:
Keep your front edge up off the box! if you don’t you will catch your front edge and eat it.
Don’t lean back, which is natural when you are scared. You will just wipe out and hit your butt really hard.
Stay low. Bend your knees! This will help you balence, and help keep you from leaning too far forward or backward.
Watch the snow and landing at the end of the box. You will naturally go where your eyes lead you. Its like driving. Look where you want to go, in this case, your landing.
You can jump on the box into a boardslide, but this is harder, and if you are just learning, just turn into it when you get on the box until you get the feeling of a boardslide down.
