How I did it: After I finally saved the money I needed, I called and made a reservation for my boyfriend and me at Skydive Las Vegas. It was a little intimidating having to sign a death waiver, but we never lost our excitement. We flew in a plane about 3 miles up. We were each strapped to an instructor, and before we knew it, we were free-falling through the sky. It was one of the most amazing feelings in the world. So I decided that there was no better way to bring in the 24th celebrate of my start on this planet than by completing my goal of jumping off a plane. My BFF has decided to take the plunge with me. We are currently in the process of getting the wheels churning on this madness. Everyone is going to think we’re insane but who cares?

It costs $179, and I’ve decided to use my left over money from China to just go ahead and do it. Everyone is making a ‘bucket list’ and I don’t want to be one of those people who start doing the things they want to do before they die, after finding out they have cancer or something. I think it’s great that they are living up their remaining life, BUT I want to make sure I’m still having adventures years before anything like that happens. I don’t know what’ll happen tomorrow or if I’ll get in a car accident. I don’t want to take a single day for granted.
This is one of the things I want to do before I die…or this will be HOW I die.
I was supposed to go sky diving with a friend of mine when I was in my early 20’s. He had done it several times and I was ready for it. I backed out because I felt that I had no right putting myself at risk when I have a child. But when she old enough to live her own life I’d like to do it once and for all.

I went on a date with a guy named Matt. He said he had a big surprise. We drove for nearly two hours to the other side of Houston. All the while I’m trying to figure out what the heck we’re going to do. Then finally he has to call for directions to the place and he tells me we’re going sky diving!! I was scared to death but couldn’t back out cause after all, I said I wanted to do it. So we were almost to the air field and it started raining!!! So they had to cancel our jump. I was disappointed cause I had finally gotten myself talked into it and calmed down. Oh well, one of these days.
