Today was my second day at work. Yesterday I was scared shitless. But today, it was so amazing. Especially teaching the kids. I can’t describe how worthwhile it is. :) I’m so glad i found a job i love!

Perhaps a Hurrah? 7 months ago

I may have found a job that I can work partime at until the school year is over. If they hire me and like me, they’ll put me on full time in the summer. It’s working as a clerk and stock person in a gift shop, so it’s not a bad job. The only thing I think I might regret, were I to get the job, is that the place has no windows. It would be a little torturous in the summer without windows. But it pays fairly well and has nice people.

mmm. ice cream. 9 months ago

I worked at a local drive-inn all throughout high school, every single summer. It was awesome, serving ice cream to cute little kids and making these massive sundaes. All my friends worked there, so on slow, rainy days we would have a blast! We’d get a raise every year, too, so that was nice. But more than that, it was a job that forced me to be friendly and outgoing, and I learned so much from it.

Maybe 2? 9 months ago

I have NO money saved for college, so I need to find a good job, maybe two this summer. Since I live in a really super small town, there aren’t many options. I don’t want to work for a restaurant or food service of any kind unless I have to. Perhaps I’ll work for one of the tour places, or for one of the gift shops. I need to start looking now so that when they start offering for tourist season I don’t get stuck working at a hamburger joint. (bad place for a vegetarian) :-p

Well it took while... 1 year ago

But I finally found one, and it’s at Bath and Body Works. I’m truly excited. Definitely the best-smelling job ever, and it’s a BIG step up from working at Chick-fil-a. I can dress up, wear my hair down, and I won’t smell like fried poultry after work. Bonus: I can go somewhere right after work without someone jokingly asking me for a chicken sandwich. Yea!

Working On It 1 year ago

I just started my search for this summer this weekend. Some good prospects. Mostly just looking for something that will more than pay the rent. I’ll find it.
