I took a 3 day class in Tarifa Spain. It’s the wind capital of Europe, it was windy !

After the 2nd day I could control the kite and get up on my board ! It was AWESOME !

It’s a GREAT feeling !

It combines everything I enjoy about the outdoors and want in a sport: water; wind/flying; waves, surf; warmth, not so fun when it’s cold (doable but not so fun…); freedom; individual sport; beautiful and amazing views/experiences; slightly “extreme”, but still safe; under $1k (USD) to get started.

My mountain board arrives Wednesday! In prep, I have been flying my trainer a bunch. It has been nice because the wind has been cranking.

I can’t wait!

I live in delray beach florida, home to the largest manufacturer of kiteboard stuff, BEST. I purchsed a trainer kite nad can fly it fine. I would love to take lessons but everyone I have called has never called me back, I think because they kite on those windy days and don’t want to teach. I still can’t wait to learn. Soon
