How to stand up to bullies
It made me
feel like kick ass
 "It was the most gratifying thing I've ever done."
How I did it: There's a guy in my gym who is a real bully. He acts like Mr. Tough Guy and is always trying to intimidate people. One of his favorite tactics is if you are using a machine that he wants, he will stare at you menacingly until you give in and let him use it. Yesterday, I took a "we've had enough" attitude. I was on a stationery bike he wanted and when he started to stare, I started scratching the side of my head with my middle finger and pointed it directly at him! He was so shocked that someone actually stood up to him, he just walked away. A few people who saw this came up to me and thanked me. Lessons & tips: Don't be afraid. Bullies almost always back down when you confront them. They are typically cowards. |
