Lady Jane has finally made her journal private!
Working for myself is such a wonderful experience. I love self-discipline. It’s great to be able to do the things i want to do when i want to do them. Today i successfully managed to achieve all the things i wanted to do. Most of it was cleaning the house. I’ve managed to get the bunnie rabbits cleaned up and all the house moped. The guys are respecting it too which is good.

Starting today, I intend to get to bed before 10pm so that I can wake up by 6:30am feeling refreshed. Realistically, I need to set an alarm for 9:30pm to remind me. Let’s see how many days in a row I can keep to this routine.

Lady Jane has finally made her journal private!
Tonight it’s 7:33pm and i am about to have a go at decluttering. I’ve been meaning to do this but didn’t get round to it yesterday as i was spending time with my boyfriend in the evening. We ended up staying up until about five am talking. Not a good start to my being disciplined.
I know that if i take tony robbins advice, discipline, just means that you are in control. It’s a great thing because it stops negative influences in your life spiralling out of control. For example i am always running late for work, which makes me stressed and worried on a morning, which in turn impacts my daily life considerably.
I’ve decided to take this goal more seriously. Each day i’m going to write a plan and stick to it. I need to learn how to manage my time better. So i’m giving myself until 8:30pm to sort everything in my room out, put the washing on and feel some sense of completion about today.

Definitely, hard work. Not giving up, though.

I merely want the perqs that self-discipline brings. So I’m dumping this goal – it’s a meta-goal. I am going to apply my energy to actual goals.
Everybody love yourselves very much. Love is the most important ingredient of discipline. Otherwise it becomes punishment, brutality, and abuse. Please, do not punish, brutalize, nor abuse yourselves in my absence!
Love yourselves enough to do what needs doing, to refrain from what needs not to be done and take the time to sit, breathe, and smile.
Peace out,
elderbear

I’m actually doing things besides writing about things on 43T!!!
Four days in a row for doing yoga. Taking steps (literally) to get more exercise (I replaced a broken pedometer today and will soon be setting stride goals).
Writing of daily gratitude lists. 43T has been a good motivator!

I’m very self-excusing. This doesn’t help with self-discipline, but it does help keep me from developing self-esteem that’s in the crapper.
Clearly, I’ve got to awaken my inner adult more to gently guide my runaway inner child into stable paths, more and more. Self-discipline is one of those things I’ve needed to develop for years.

I accept that I have a problem getting to bed at a reasonable hour and so end up feeling too tired throughout the day.
Now I need the willpower to do something about it!!
