Sarah is going to go to the flower show.
Going to the flower show today, which I’ve never done before. I’ll bring my camera so I can attempt to “make the most of it”.

I’m not sure how to accomplish this goal as when do you know you’ve completed it? Let’s say I’ll see one new thing in the city per week.

Will be making the most of a different place! Again, have bought a Rough Guide and done some Googling.
On my first trip there, week after next, my other half is going to give me a tour of the main parts of the city. Yay!
... I found out that my boyfriend’s application to stay here was denied by immigration. On Wednesday, he’s going to meet with his immigration lawyer and find out if he’s able to appeal the decision… which would allow him to stay here until the final decision is reached if not permanently. If not, he has to leave for Mexico by the 25th of this month. I love Mexico, but I don’t really want to live there. My family and friends are here, and I don’t know what kind of work he’ll be able to find there. I don’t need a lot of material goods, but Mexico isn’t a great place to be poor… Actually, Reynosa, his hometown, isn’t a great place to period, with all of the killings that are happening now. Depending on where he/we go, I’m pretty sure that I could make enough to live on, but there’s no way that he’d be okay with being supported by me. What a mess. Yesterday morning, I could only think about what I wanted to get away from here… now I can only think about what I’ll miss if we can’t fix this.
...so I’ll have to figure out some low-cost/free ways to do this. I’m hoping to find a new place to live this year, and a new job, but remembering to be grateful for the things that I’ll miss once I achieve those goals is probably a good first step.

Ooh! Another idea – foraging for wild food

Working my way through a ‘50 walks’ book, then a gardens book, the Rough Guide, and also looking forward to doing the following in the Spring:
Fishing
Canoeing
Picnics
BBQs on the beach
Boat trips
i want to know more about where i live. To help people around me. To have a sense of community
ihaveneatstuff Happy Thanksgiving!
Need I say more? I hated it here! It is an entirerly different mentality. However, the bottom line was that here was where I lived. What could I do? Make the most of what I had, where I was, with what I had. Now I live outside of Tulsa, wedged in between two beautiful lakes on a litte slice of heaven I now call home. We have built a home that we are developing into a legacy for our children and their children, etc.. If you would have asked me two years ago if I’d be living here the rest of my life I would have asked you what you were smoking. Presently, I can not imagine living anywhere else.

...you can hear the sound of rain on the roof in my house. I know there’s been drizzles here and there, but this is the first time I’m aware of the way it surrounds the house. I’m deeply aware of how much I love it here. It is good to feel safe right now.
