Picked up a new Leica MP with 50 1.4 Summilux. I almost forgot what shooting with an all manual film camera is like. Its more rewarding than shooting digital.
You have to focus, set aperture and shutter speed yourself. You only have 36 chances so you conentrate more on getting the shot you want. Unlike digital where you just take hundreds of shots and hopefully a few came out alright…
There’s a certain kind of ‘zen’ when operating this camera. You feel like the camera is an extension of your body.
Every photograph you take, whether good or bad, you had complete control over.
