pamper myself regularly

So I used to spend a few hours each week pampering myself but now it seems I have very little time to do this anymore. I will make time and reep the benefits!!!

So I went tanning, cut my hair, and laid around all afternoon watching Sex And The City. It was a wonderful day!

I will go tanning, then go for a sunrise jog. Get ready for work and take my time since the husband will be taking the kids to daycare!
Then after work, I will go get my hair cut!

Since I will be going back to work next week, I am pretty babyless for at least 8 hours a day!
I am going to use some of this time for myself. Since money has become some what of an issue, I won’t be able to get haircuts, go tan, or get a manicure but I will start by:
exercising
shaving again!
foot rubs
bubble bath
wine

Decided on a DIY pedicure for starters. Gonna try to make it a fortnightly event :)

But I’m going to mark it as done because I do make more of a point of doing nice things for myself now. I realize the importance of taking care of myself, so that I can take care of others. If I need to revisit this after my second baby is born, then I will, but I think I’ve learned to do this fairly well.

I almost never take that kind of time to really enjoy a book. So, tonight, I’m going to do it. And relish it.

While I was on vacation, I had access to a hot tub and used it nightly; that was heavenly!

Alone. I went shopping – for myself, not my family. I went and had sushi and ate leisurely, savoring it (since I get it very rarely). The green tea was fantastic, as was the fish itself. I did run some errands but that wasn’t a problem; it allowed me more time in the peace and quiet of the car, away from my house. It was wonderful to see something other than the walls of my house. I did everything at a leisurely pace, which seemed really decadent, since I’m usually in a hurry. What a lovely day!
