That is how much I spent between yesterday, and today’s visits to the dental office. I had a root canal done which really sucked. Then I went back today to have all my old grey fillings taken out and replaced with white. I hated seeing those dark fillings whenever I flossed so I had them switched out, and since it was for ‘cosmetic’ purposes my insurance didn’t cover any of it. I have an appointment in a couple weeks for the Invisalign consult. Invisalign is going to cost about $5000 altogether but I’ll manage and more importantly, it will be so worth it.
Today I am a thousand dollars closer to completing this goal. 23 months ago
I went into my appointment today and had an exam, x-rays, and a full cleaning. One of my fillings has cracked and I now have another cavity :(
I’ll be going back on Thursday afternoon to have that nasty little thing taken care of.
I talked to the dentist about having previous fillings re-done in white, bleaching my teeth, and braces or Invisalign. She told me she would refer me to the orthodontist and he/she could better advise me on which of the two (braces or Invisalign) would be best for me. If I can do Invisalign I can do it through my dentist, I wouldn’t have to go to the orthodontist. I do want Invisalign, Iknow it is more expensive but heck, I can finally afford to take care of my teeth and I’m going to do it!
So, I’ll probably be seeing an ortho next week and try to get the ball rolling, rapido. 23 months ago
I happened to notice a dentist’s office next to the grocery store I was going into today, so I went over and asked some questions. They don’t have an orthodontist but can refer you to one. They accept the type of insurance I have so I have my annual check up next Monday. During that time I’ll be able to discuss braces and Invisalign with the dentist and hopefully get an appointment and referral to the Orthodontist. I am going to do some research on Invisalign before I decide to go that route. Its about 2000 dollars more but it might be worth it considering my work. 23 months ago
