i finished it last night, and extinguashed my last ciggarette 6hours ago at 5pm.
i have enjoyed the book, its pretty straightforward, subject will appeal to anyone who is interested in quiting smoking. it will help u to understand ur addiction and how to beat it.
i am only on day one of being a non smoker, it hasnt been easy already, but it hasnt been as hard as i thought it would be either. im feeling ok, and i dont feel awful that i dont have any ciggarettes, i feel relatively good. which is amazing. if i follow allens book, and understand what he is saying and believe in it and put it into practice, then i should be able to continue to be a non smoker. i think i have done and am doing that. still got a long way to go but as of today, I AM A NON SMOKER! halfway through the book. i like that it is straightforeward and easy to read and he doesnt mince the facts. he tells it like it is.
i am digesting this information, and looking at ciggarettes a little bit differently. beginning to understand my addiction.
i still ahve doubts that i can quit once i have finished the book, but i think this is a normal thing for any smoker trying to quit.
i havent quit smoking yet, as he even encourages us to smoke whilst reading it. i will be officially quiting once i have finished the book. i am feeling a bit stronger, and a bit more empowered with new knowledge as to why i have failed quiting smoking so far. i really hope i can do this in the next few days/week when i finish the book. and that i will find it easy and not difficult. 21 months ago
for this month, which i will be starting today is not a fictional book.
it is allen carrs “easyway to quit smoking”. i have heard rave reveiws about this book, and it is also endorsed by a number of famous people who quit using it. i also personally know of 2 people who quit through this book.
it works on eliminating the fear and psychological dependancy that takes hold of smokers when they attempt to quit smoking, so that the goal becomes acheivable and u actually have a fighting chance of quiting. all this using allen carrs unique methods.
so im gonna give it ago. ive had a look through the book and it looks interesting and like it has a unique perspective, and is not full of BS or scare tactics.
ive quit smoking numorous times in the past for months even a year and then for whatever reason started again. however this time round, i am struggling to quit on my own whereas before i jsut quit cold turkey. so im hoping this book will help me to get there. the other thing it offers is that once his method/technique is understood and mastered, it will also help u to stay a non smoker for life and that you would never feel tempted by the need for a ciggarette, 1 month, 6 months, 2 years or 5 years and so on, down the line.
so yeah gonna give this book ago. and then apply what im reading to my life, and see what happens.
