So its about a month untill i go to turkey, and im really hoping to acheave this goal by then. So i want to lose ten pounds before Aug 17th.. think that is realistic??
At the moment i tend to eat what i want, and dont really exercise at all. I mean im a dancer, but i only dance at school in my BTech classes now so thats not a lot.
Im going to set myself some basic rules to stick to so hopefully i can make myself look slimmer before Turkey.
1- ONLY eat fruit ‘till dinner time
2- NO snacking
3- ONLY drink water
4- EXERCISE and walk as much as i can
SO thats what im going to do, going to try and stick to this everyday, with the accseption of my birthday. And lets hope i can do this.
Wish me luck. No doubt i will be poasting comment on hear all the time :) x

Not fun.
Calories are down, so far as I know. We definitely haven’t be eating out as much, so it’s easier to keep track of calories and portions. Again, my down-fall is probably the sauces, condiments, and mayonnaise.
We did a lot of cleaning today around the house, so did expend some of my energy. According to mypyramid, it was over 600 calories, but I highly doubt that as I barely did that much in an hour of working out at the rec center. Either way, it’s more than yesterday.
Weight (today): 151.6 @ 5 30pm

And I realize this is because I have not gotten off my fat ass and done anything seriously cardio-like, or exercisey.
I am, however, counting calories, and would like to keep my daily count at 1500 per day. Considering breakfast (at noon) was just under 500 calories (according to mypyramidtracker.gov) I think I’m on the right track, eat larger at breakfast, and then smaller as the day goes on, and you’re expending less.
On the exercise front, I looked up times at the TCC fitness center, and on Chris’s recommendation I think I’ll use it. It’s a bit far away, but I figure if I can talk previously mention boyfriend into going with me, it would probably be worth it, and is indeed a halfway point between our houses, and I’m usually the one driving. The only unfortunate thing is I really really really feel like working out today, but it’s closed on Fridays and weekends.
Off to act like I want to accomplish this goal….

Tink is pleased with her progress.
...but I can’t find the entry. I might be remembering having written about the issue in a comment on someone else’s post – or on the profile I created when “I signed up at sparkpeople.com”: http://www.43things.com/people/progress/tinkmcd/13146079 two weeks ago.
Whatever the reason, I’m going to repeat the info briefly here, to bring this goal up to date and give further entries the proper context.
As of June 26, all but 3 of the 37 pounds I’d lost last year had found me again. Most of the regaining happened over the winter, after I lost my job and fell into a profound depression. Several months of inactivity (to the point of near-paralysis) combined with anxiety-fuelled “comfort eating” that was nutritionally way out of balance took a predictable toll.
On top of that, I now understand that because of the way I lost those 37 pounds – from having a badly inflamed intestine that couldn’t properly absorb the nutrients in the food I was eating – my metabolism was primed to pack on the pounds again once I resumed eating normally. The body doesn’t know the difference between being sick and enduring a famine, so when weight is “starved” off, the body begins storing as much fat as possible, against the next time there’s no food.
Joining sparkpeople and recommitting myself to improving my health in this way has already helped.
As of this morning, I’ve lost the first 6 pounds toward this mini-goal of 10 pounds down. Another pound, and I’ll have lost a tenth of what I want to lose.
The first biggish milestone will be having lost 10% of my body weight, or roughly 20 pounds.
To get all the way there, I’ll need to achieve this mini-goal a total of 7 times.
Go me!

That is rage. Lots and Lots of rage.
Cleaned a lot yesterday. Got some extra-curricular exercise earlier today.
Weight was 149 at 8pm last night.
Weight was 150 at 11am when I woke up this morning.
A diet of Nothing Different plus Condiments.

Starting today I am about 158 lbs. I was in a dressing room and trying on clothes and felt unhappy about the way I looked. I’d like to tone up and lose some weight – when I started college I was 145, getting back down to that would feel great.
Not exactly sure how I’m going to start. I do a lot of walking to get around, but I haven’t been doing much heavy cardio lately, so I guess that’s a good starting place.
