make them proud

My lil family is the most important thing to me! They are my life. And, I want to be the best mommy and wife ever! I want to be the one that my future husband and daughter come to for everything. I want to make them proud!

I know you are up in heaven, but not strumming a harp on a cloud. You are probably giving God a lecture on how to run the universe.

I hope you are proud of what I’ve become. My career was barely off the ground when you died, I regret the times I let you down or said the wrong thing, and I severely regret saying you weren’t my real Dad, because you were.

You were a teacher, and I became a teacher, of sorts. You were wickedly funny, and I gained an appreciation for the fact that sometimes, life is one big joke. You loved sports, and I love sports, and on and on and on..

I hope that you look down on me and see the strength you’ve given me, and I’m only crying because I miss you so much right now, and I never really got the chance to tell you how you shaped my life.

Blood may be thicker than water, but love trumps them both.
