yolandesukal is reading Barbara Walters "The Audition" tonight
I lived with an Australian family for two years while I studied at Newcastle University. Seriously, one of the best places to heal old wounds. The connection I made there with the earth was inevitable as so much of it is still untouched. Those turquoise salt waters and powder sands are the cure for any soul scarring. The people say hello and are genuinely kind. Some of them, completely unaware that they are surrounded in paradise, but nevertheless refuse to take it for granted. They appreciated it because they don’t know any other way. It has been 4 years since I’ve been back, and still think of it like a dream I once had.

Going this summer as a part of a conservation project. Gonna get bitten by every poisonous thing on the continent and it’s still gonna be fucking awesome:)

I was not born in Australia. I have lived most of my life elsewhere. I spent my formative years in Australia. I feel Australian at heart. The people are friendly and down to earth. The country is sunny, warm, and beautiful. For any person who likes to travel, Australia is a must see for its natural beauty and culture.
