I played squash todayn with some friends for an hour and we ve booked a court for tomorrow!
How to play squash
How I did it: The fact that I 'did' it is a misnomer. Because it doesn't stop here. I'm not done playing squash - just done with 'planning' to play it.
2 months ago I picked up a squash racket for the first time in my life. Since then, I've been playing 3-4 times a week, an hour each time. Today I can hold my own on a court - I can place dangerously low shots, and keep up a rally across all ends of the court.
I still have a long way to go - but squash is part of my routine now so I know it's a matter of time before I kick serious ass!
Lessons & tips:
1. Make sure you're having fun. I've been playing with my husband (who is really, good by the way). It's become one of our favorite past times. If it's fun, you'll get the urge to play without having to push yourself.
2. Keep it up for 4-5 weeks. Then you'll get hooked. If you play for that long, you'll see your game improve considerably and then you'll be motivated to keep at it.
3. On the court - Never stop running. The minute you slow down, inertia sets in and you can't run across the court quick enough for the return. :)

I ve always enjoyed playing squash but stopped it a while back. i ve started playing again, but i always find an excuse not to. So i am going to make it part of my daily routine. Once I ve done this for a while Im going to join the squash ladder at my university.

For those of you that are completely useless as sports you have never played before, this is one of the most hilarious ones you will ever try. Preferably played with a group of very, VERY patient people, it’s a great way to make new friends and have a good laugh at yourself.
I think I managed perhaps one good serve. . . but that may have been my hopeful imagination D:
Squash is my favorite thing to do in my life. i play an average of 5-6 times a weak for about 1 -1 1/2 hours each day. it is an awsome sport, but i am hoping to get a new opponent because im getting bored with hitting rails and volley rails to myself.
luckily ive got a few U 15 tournaments coming up so hopefully ill get some good matches.
Wicked game, ive only played a few times and love it…but ive learnt that stretching is appropriate as i pulled something in my ass and can hardley walk or sit down haha
Totally a worthwhile sport. Squash is an incredibly tough workout if you’re any good and playing with a half-decent partner. Some people said they have a problem finding opponenets… you need to join a club! I got a bunch of people to play with because I joined a club and am now in a ladder. Theres tons of places to play… especially here in Seattle (indoor sports are popular haha). Anyone in seattle who wants a game let me know!
I started playing squash last year, but I haven’t played since around November.I really want to get back into it.
I need to find a partner though…
