How I did it: I had my dad pre-order the book online for me the second I heard it was coming out. It was actually delivered (by some ridiculously lucky accident of fate) to my house the day before it was released here in the USA. I tore into that package, sat down, and read that book in less than 24 hours. Read how I did it…

Thomas My book, Surprise Endings, is now available for sale.
...and I enjoyed it quite a bit. No matter what can be said about JK Rowling’s writing ability, her story-telling ability is top-notch. She weaves so many different plotlines together so expertly that even though I disagree with her heavy use of passive tense, I still LOVE her books.
Finished this book a matter of days after it came out (it took me the longest because it’s such a thick book). Didn’t like it as much as the others when I read it the first time, but I really like it the more I’ve read it.
It’s nothing like the movie.
However, both are good in their own way! :)

It took me forever, and I had to rush it at the end —so I could catch the movie while it was still in theaters. It’s the longest of the series, and it didn’t quite grasp me at the beginning. But, as with the previous 4, at the end I couldn’t put the book down!!

Today, I read the 435th page of the book —which marks the middle of its 870 pages. It has taken me 5 months to get here!! When I started reading, it took me quite some time, but I’ve read a quarter of the book in the past week alone. Hopefully, I’ll be able to finish it in time before they take the movie out of the theaters…
I was given the book because people know i love the harry potter movies, but i had never read any of the books, and the movie release was still months away. So on my day off, i picked up the book at 10am and before i knew it, it was 9:30 pm. I couldnt lay it down. I just hope the movie is as good, or i wont read the next two books! My suggestion would be to read the book before the movie comes out next month… or else you will have seen the movie and not care to read the book.

Well, my time was up, and I’m just halfway through the 4th chapter!!
So I’ll honor my unmet challenge by giving up tv until I finish the book —except half hour a day to achieve this goal ;)
