Well I guess I can mark this one as done… I didn’t actually add it as a goal in the first place anyway.
When it comes to helping find a cure for cancer there’s not much more I can do except fold my arms and put on ‘folding at home’ every now and then…
I mean… Cancer research? I don’t think I have anything to add to the discussion, have you tried lemon juice?
I’m just all out of ideas on that one (have you tried lemon juice though?) cancer is nasty business, I hope we find a cure one day.
A comment below said that the software isn’t Mac compatible, so I’ll expand a bit on what the software is compatible with:
Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, and Vista
Mac OS X (in any of its versions)
Linux
Playstation 3

Sorry if I left anyone out, I tried to include everyone that is a current folder. As you can all see the team is getting bigger, but the more people and the more computers that are folding the more difference we can make. So, even if you want to fold for another team please join.

I’ve actually wanted to do this for a while, but until now, didn’t have a way to do it. Now, I do.
The first work unit I got is 4,000,000 steps lol… 200,000 are done so far. I have a feeling it’s going to be going for a while. Speaking of which, do I just close the program when I’m want it to stop, or is there a certain way you have to exit? I’ve got the non-graphical version right now. There might be an answer on their website, but I haven’t had much of a chance to look yet.
Anyway, I think I joined the team, but I guess it won’t show me on there until I complete my first WU.
...perhaps my Mac can do something to the world with Folding@Home.
Tomorrow I’ll install it in my work computer too. ;)
