Green Day is an amazing punk band formed in the late 1980’s as Sweet Children, with Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Al Sobrante. Shortly before releasing 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours, on Lookout! Records, they changed their name to Green Day. Their second release, Keplunk! was produced with Lookout, and a new drummer, Tré Cool, instead of Al. After the great sales of Kerplunk, Green Day decided to sign with Reprise Records with Rob Cavallo, to keep up with the demand. They have now released Dookie, Insomniac, Nimrod, Warning, and American Idiot on Reprise, along with International Superhits! and Shenanigans. Green Day currently finished the American Idiot tour, and is working on an American Idiot movie, and a new album due around 2007.
