meet demetri martin

I saw him on Comedy Central Presents about a year ago and I’ve been a fan ever since. I’ll probably never get to meet him, since I live in Montana and whatnot but It’s worth a shot

Last night, Demetri Martin did a show at my college. In the middle of the show, he asked for a volunteer, so I stuck my hand in the air and started waving it around. Demetri looked at me and said, “Well, you’re waving your hand around, so why don’t you come up.” So I went up on stage. He asked my name (it’s Anna), then he asked me a few things about my art school. Then, he said “So, it’s April, right,” and I went “NO, it’s Anna!” Of course, he meant the month April…but everyone laughed really hard at that. He went on, “Well, okay, we’re in the month of Anna…it’s Anna 7th, I believe? And school gets out in May, right?” I got to turn the pages of his great big sketch pad while he played the piano. After the show, Demetri signed autographs and took pictures with everyone; he was so nice, and he really took his time to make each autograph personal and unique. He was very gracious, really a great guy to meet!!!
