Set up my darkroom

I got over my fear of messing up the chems and just went through with it and mixed all the chemicals for the first time. It was pretty easy to do. Now all i have to do is get my hands on a timer and black out the window in the bathroom.

I have most of the stuff to set up a darkroom except for a timer. But i haven’t done much with it because i don’t know how to mix the chemicals right.

Hey wow, I actually did this yesterday and didn’t even realize it. There’s new shelving up, all the moldy stuff is thrown away, all the stuff is plugged in, the fixer is doing its chemical process, and I should be good to go to develop negatives (that I loaded tonight) this week.

So I finally brought the enlarger down. The true test will be to actually develop some film. Since I swept down there, all the dust is in the air and you can hardly breathe, so that’s my reason (and admittedly my excuse) for not going full throttle with this goal right now. I hope to do that tomorrow though.

This whole day was freed up by me so that I could finish this task, yet I have yet to really begin. Instead, I did some shopping and have cleaned the house. Classic procrastination moves. I have to take a shower and then will start doing the rest of the set up. I have to try and remember why I enjoy this so much. Moreover, I just need to do this once to remember why I enjoy this so much. Damn it, I am ready for this!
