I’m 2 classes and my dissertation from having my doctorate. I’m running out of fuel. So close to give up, so tired to keep pushing. Just got to get off my butt and get it done!

I have earned my bachelors, masters, and specialist. Just recently, I was accepted to a wonderful doctorate program and have completed orientation. I am excited and overwhelmed to begin this final degree. No one in my family understands what the “bid deal” is and why I would want to go to school so many years. I’m a Southern Belle. Translation: My family would be more impressed with a marraige proposal and/or a pregnancy rather than a “mere piece of paper”. Nevertheless, it has always been my dream to teach at an HBCU and inspire students to become major successes in their own careers.
