OK, OK, OK So I know that I left you all hanging, and hadn’t been tracking my progress here, but I am still going strong.
I have been doing a lot of reading and now I understand what the difference between being hungry and craving foods. I have been craving like crazy. Ironically, I find that the Food Network and other TV shows kinda calm my cravings. Do you realize how many people are just eating because they get paid to eat? It’s really crazy.
Anyhoo,
The last couple of days, I really didn’t feel hungry at all. I drank my lemonade, and it was like I almost had to force myself to drink. But, I started around 173 pounds. I would like to report that I weighed myself not too long ago and I was 165. So, I can definately say that I am making progress.
I plan to take a nice hot shower, curl up in bed, and go to sleep. When I wake it’ll be DAY SEVEN (the time went by really fast.)
OK—and I would like to admit that I did bend the rules a bit. I wanted so bad to chew on something, so I bought some Bubbaliscious bubble gum (watermelon). It is soooooo good.

OK—So I am still going strong.
Last night I wouldn’t call them vivid dreams, but I did start becoming more aware of what was going on in my subconscience. I think they would have been vivid dreams if I didn’t get up six times just to go to the bathroom during the night.
Today was an alright day. For the most part I was focused and was tempted to go to the nearest store and get some cinnamon gummi bears. I was also craving some Popeyes red beans and rice, McDonald’s french fries, and some Skittles—junk!
I didn’t cheat. I just kept chugging my juice. I know that these first couple of days are going to take the most willpower. . . so I am really excited that they are over.
I did yoga and I also some cardio exercises this morning. I was really feeling more energetic than I have been in quite a while. Thats one of the things that I admire about the Master Cleanse, for the most part, I have more energy.
Tomorrow I am really looking forward to be back in the 160s as I weighed myself today and was 170 pounds. I know the majority of this must be water weight, but there is something exciting for me getting on the scale and seeing a difference.

INTRO
Whats up folks? I just stumbled across this website and thought it would be cool to document my new journey on the Master Cleanse.
I had done some cleanses in the past, but they never lasted more than 10 days, and I almost always broke the cleanse incorrectly.
The Master Cleanse has jump-started my diet/lifestyle change and after I completed the first cleanse, I progressively weaned off pork and red meat, then poultry, then eggs, and finally seafood. I consider myself a vegetarian now as I still eat (too much damn) cheese and honey.
For this cleanse, I am hoping to reap all of the other benefits from the other cleanses. Clearer thinking, weight loss, and change of bad habits. I also want to be fan-tab-ulous bringing in the new year. I don’t want weight loss to be one of my resolutions again.
DAY ONE
Today was a fairly good day. I had a couple of cravings but, for the most part, it was bearable. I had the weirdest craving for mashed potatoes. I think that is because of what I ate over the Thanksgiving holiday. I had energy today. My starting weight is 173—damn that sounds ginormous.

I just made my first lemonade for the day. The lemonade is pretty good. It’s the salt water flush that I am nervous about!

I had a great day today. I DID have a near miss: in order for me to work out first thing in the morning, I have to reserve the evening tea until after my SWF in the morning which means I am eliminating first thing in the morning and then again around noon. However, I didn’t go at noon today so I thought maybe the tea was too weak and I left the house about 2 pm to run some errands for the hubby. About 10 minutes from the house I got THE FEELING. I called my husband while making the illegal u-turn and barely made it back home in time. I might have to rethink the tea thing… but I will give it a little more time and see how it goes. I’ve had great energy and I even cooked dinner for the family the last two nights. Yah, I’m doin great! But regarding the tude… you totally deserve it Nalamom! You have done and are doing what the guys couldn’t even complete in one day. You’ve quit smoking, quit eating and the same time and STILL manage to smile. Give yourself a break and let him stew… builds character.
I have our new song picked out! I’ll send it to you!

Wow Nalamom… you really did have some detoxing going on! I don’t remember you having quite as bad a detox two years ago. Makes you wonder what we left behind last time when we didn’t finish…. YIKES! I’m starting to get a plugged up nose and of course the cough I just mentioned. Thank goodness no headache. But I drink the LA pretty liberally, and didn’t you say that fixed the headache? That must be it! Have you been doing the salt water baths? I’m doing one today. I’m hoping that my body starts dumping! I want the toxins out! The good news is, I don’t stink as bad this time around. I think that changing our personal care products to all natural/organic really helped! Oh, and I forgot to mention in my last post that the coating on my tongue is gone. I’ve been doing the oil pulling twice a day and the coating is gone. I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

OMGosh (I’m stealing that!) we have made it, well, almost made it! Are we still “stupid starving”? HAHAHAHAHA! That was so much fun last night. I said last night that I was going to drink my tea, but remembered that I wanted to work out this morning. So, I went to the gym and am just now finishing the SWF and will start on the tea after my first glass of LA. Totally backwards, but I gotta do what I gotta do. And I NEED to work out first thing in the morning or it won’t get done. I think the hunger cravings might be gone today as I watched Kevin eat his cereal this morning and the saliva glands didn’t start up. I made dinner last night and will make a jello dessert for the fam tonight. I’m really feeling good today, but do have a croupy cough… I wonder if it’s because of all the rain last night?

Day 3 - A.M.
Wow! I feel GREAT THIS MORNING!!!! I cannot believe that I am on day three. I slept great last night until about 5 this morning when I awoke to cramps. The tea must be working a lot quicker because I didn’t have it until about 11 PM last night. Much later than I’m used to. I’m glad the headache from last night is gone. I was sick to my tummy from it. I am going to the gym later this morning. My back is feeling much better today although I might hold off on the Chiropractor until after I’m done with this cleanse. Special note to smokers. I am three days without a cigarette and haven’t even thought about them. This is how it was the last time I did this cleanse. I was so focused on not eating that not smoking was not phasing me. And I guess this might mean that I have a bigger addiction to food than cigarettes. Good to know!
